The Granby, situated in Harrogate, is a stunning 77-bedroom care home located on the edge of The Stray – Harrogate’s historic common. The property offers care by Brighterkind, a leading provider with more than 70 homes across England, Scotland and Jersey. The 18th-century building – formerly a hotel – required curtains, blinds, cushions and accessories for a complete refurbishment of the residential units. Sensitive to the needs of Brighterkind’s clients, Ena Shaw Contract’s expert team installed bespoke soft furnishings to all 77 bedrooms, living rooms, communal areas, corridors and café with minimal disruption to the day-to-day running of the home.
Ena Shaw Contract has manufactured and installed soft furnishings across a number of Brighterkind properties, including Angusfield House in Aberdeen and Houndswood House in Hertfordshire.
Avery Healthcare – a premium care provider in the senior living sector with a portfolio of over 45 homes in the UK – appointed Ena Shaw Contract to oversee the manufacture and installation of curtains at Avonmere Care Home. Located on the northern outskirts of Bristol, Avonmere Care Home is a purpose-built facility that required expert installation of curtains and tracks across its 76 bedrooms. Ena Shaw Contract also installed soft furnishings in its office, corridors, bathrooms, library and communal areas.
Due to time constraints, the project needed to be delivered within four days in preparation for its launch. Deploying a small team of expert fitters, Ena Shaw Contract completed the full care home within the time frame and within budget.
